Winona Ryder Hops On Board For ‘Sex’

Winona Ryder was a hit after the dark comedy Heathers, so if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Ryder will be once again teaming up with Heathers scribe Daniel Waters for the dark comedy Sex and Death 101, with Simon Baker set as the male lead. Waters is also directing the project for Sandbar Pictures and Cary Brokaw’s Avenue Pictures. The film is currently in production.
Boston Legal’s Julie Bowen and Dash Mihok have also scored parts in the project, which was also written by Waters. Sex centers on a man (Baker) who is thrown for a loop when he gets a mysterious email that lists all the women that he’s ever slept with…and all the women that he ever will sleep with. Waters created Ryder’s character with the actress in mind.
Sandbar’s Lizzie Friedman and Greg Little will produce with Brokaw. Aaron Craig Geller, Executive Vice President at Avenue, will be the executive producer.
