After weeks of being the most added song at radio in L.A. and New York, Justin Timberlake’s first song off his second album, “SexyBack” has reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This can only mean good things for his first week sales.

The final title for the second Pirates of the Caribbean sequel has been revealed (even though we already knew that shit anyway).

Sarah Michelle Gellar is starring in yet another supernatural thriller, this time it’s called Addicted.

Donald Trump has fired Apprentice staple and employee Carolyn. Wtf, I loved that bitch!

Rising star Anna Faris is attached to a new comedy produced by Happy Madison and written by the screenwriters that brought us Legally Blonde.

This week’s Video Clip of the Week is a performance by the Scissor Sisters of their track It Can’t Come Quickly Enough that was featured on the Party Monster soundtrack.

I’ve always loved the Scissor Sisters, but I’ve never heard this track. I watched the performance and I was like…mesmerized. Like it was almost a religous experience. Jake Shears is a God.

NBC Confirms More Of Its Fall Schedule

Posted under Deal or No Deal, Medium, My Name Is Earl, Patricia Arquette, Television, The Apprentice, The Office by Chris Evans on Friday 28 April 2006 at 8:06 pm

NBC’s schedule for next season is getting pretty crowded.

The network has renewed three more of its dramas — “Medium,” “Las Vegas” and “Crossing Jordan” — for 2006-07. They join the three “Law & Order” shows and comedies “My Name Is Earl” and “The Office” in earning pickups for next year.

NBC also has a sixth edition of “The Apprentice,” the likely return of game show “Deal or No Deal” and a new Sunday-night NFL package in line for fall. Additionally, drama pilots “The Black Donnellys” and “Kidnapped” have already been given spots on the schedule, and the Aaron Sorkin backstage drama “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” is all but certain to join them.

That doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for other new shows looking to make the cut this pilot season. “Crossing Jordan” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” which air on Sundays, could possibly be held until after the NFL season ends in January.

It also signals that NBC will emphasize stability to advertisers when it pitches its 2006-07 schedule to advertisers at next month’s upfronts. Given the network’s ratings struggles of late, that may or may not be a good thing.

Medium,” which stars Emmy winner Patricia Arquette, is drawing about 11.2 million viewers per week this season. “Crossing Jordan” and “Las Vegas” both draw about 11 million viewers, with the latter having survived a move to Fridays without taking too big a ratings hit.

‘Deal or No Deal’ Delivers; ‘Apprentice’ Does Not

Posted under Deal or No Deal, Donald Trump, Television, The Apprentice by Chris Evans on Tuesday 28 February 2006 at 6:13 pm

Deal or No Deal made a triumphant return to NBC on Monday, averaging an 8.1 rating and a 12 share in the 8:00 hour and beating the usual winners of the time slot, CBS’s The King of Queens and How I Met Your Mother, which averaged a 6.6/10.

But despite featuring an appearance by Donald Trump on Deal, the premiere of The Apprentice, which followed, wound up in fourth place with a 6.2/9. CBS won the 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. hours — and the night — with CSI: Miami drawing the biggest audience of the night at 10:00 p.m. with an 11.6/18.
