Fresh Links: Hugh Jackman Says Wolverine Script Is Finished

Hugh Jackman says the script for the Wolverine prequel is finally finished.

Nip/Tuck creator and director of Running With Scissors Ryan Murphy is adapting and directing a film called “Eat, Pray, Love” that Julia Roberts will star in.

NBC better get their asses back to the drawing board because their Fall sitcoms are crashing and burning. Hmm..could explain why they just fired 700 employees.

A new Sandra Bullock comedy is being developed called All About Steve where she plays a brilliant crossword puzzler that stalks a TV news camera man.

Talledega Nights star Sacha Baron Cohen is set to star alongside Johnny Depp in the screen adaptation of Sweeney Todd.

The season finale of Flavor of Love gave VH1 its highest ratings in the history of the network. It’s a sad day when VH1’s programming kicks MTV’s ass.

CBS’ crime show Criminal Minds takes down ABC drama “Lost” for the first time.

Jennifer Aniston’s eyeing to star in a new dramedy written by the screenwriter of Hollywoodland.

American Idol season one contestant RJ Helton just recently came out of the closet. I kind of knew he was gay back when he was on American Idol, but I was also in love with him so I thought maybe it was just wishful thinking. Now I know my gaydar really is the shit. He was my fave before I heard Kelly Clarkson sing “Respect.”

Fresh Links: Nicole Kidman To Guest Star On Nip/Tuck

Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is starring in an upcoming episode of hit drama Nip/Tuck. Apparently she personally went to Ryan Murhpy and asked him to give her a role where she could wear a bunch of scary prosthetics. The Hours, anyone?

The sequel to the Jim Carrey hit “Bruce Almighty”, “Evan Almighty”, starring Steve Carrell and Lauren Graham is making headlines for it’s ridiculous budget of 250 million dollars. It is the highest budget ever for a comedy.

Our beloved Desperate Housewives takes yet another dip in the ratings despite the hottness of both Jesse Metcalfe and newcomer Josh Henderson.

Contrary to the rumors, Jake Gyllenhaal will not be reuniting with his Brokeback Mountain co-star Heath Ledger in the Batman Begins sequel.

Halle Berry is starring in a new movie called “Class Act” where she’ll play a teacher who takes up a challenge by her students to run for Congress. Hopefully this’ll suck less than…oh, anything else she’s ever done?

Diane Sawyer’s interview with bigot Mel Gibson is set to air tomorrow, and it seems completely pointless for anyone to watch. It’ll be an hour of damage control by a liar and a fraud. Go see his new movie Apocalypto, though! (Note the sarcasm).

Posted under Celebrities, Desperate Housewives, Marcia Cross, Nip/Tuck, Television, Whitney Houston by Chris Evans on Friday 15 September 2006 at 6:47 pm

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!!! Whitney is finally getting her life back on track and kicking Bobby’s crusty ass to the curb. Go ‘head girlfriend!

She filed for divorce on Wednesday–there’s no more information as to the details of the divorce, nor is their word from either of their representatives who will have custody of their daughter Bobbi Christina. Finish that new album.

So can we talk about how Nip/Tuck has basically become the new Will & Grace when it comes to high-profile guest stars? Let’s hope Ryan Murphy doesn’t start relying on them as much as Max Mutchnick and David Kohan did. What a way to ruin such a great show.

Anyways, along with the 50 million other people guest starring this season, Alanis Morissette will be in an episode of the show.

According to Zap2It News:

She’ll be playing a character named Poppy, a love interest for Liz Cruz (Roma Maffia), the anesthesiologist for plastic surgeons Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon).

Her first appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 31.

[Attention: SPOILERS ahead] So apparently Marcia Cross’ pregnancy WILL be written into the Desperate Housewives script this season which is a big downer.

I know she already had 2 kids but for some reason I just really can’t imagine Bree being pregnant. I just can’t see it in my head.

But who knows, Marcia Cross could pull out a fierce ass performance and be all running around with child trying to get away from Orson and shit.

Justin Timberlake On Rolling Stone and Julian McMahon On The Advocate

Posted under Celebrities, Justin Timberlake, Nip/Tuck by Chris Evans on Wednesday 6 September 2006 at 7:22 pm

Justin Timberlake claims he’s bringing sexy back, and further tries to prove it with the upcoming September issue of Rolling Stone, but I’d argue Nip/Tuck’s resident hottie Julian McMahon, who appears on the Advocate this month, is a safer bet for bringing it back despite the hottness of Justin’s wet T-shirt cover.

Pop Culture Digest: Dixie Chicks Pull A Michael Moore, Janney Joins Hairspray, Hostel Gets A Sequel, More Dirrty Nip/Tuck

Posted under Gay, Movies, Nip/Tuck, Television by Chris Evans on Tuesday 29 August 2006 at 9:59 pm

A documentary based upon the aftermath of Dixie Chick Natalie Maines’ controversial critique of President Bush has just been picked up by the Weinstein Co. for distribution.

The documentary is called “Shut Up And Sing”, and it looks to be one hell of a ride. Co-director/producer Cecilia Peck says “You definitely feel like you’re in the front row of a Dixie Chicks concert.”

Previous Emmy winner and Sunday night’s Emmy loser Alison Janney has something to console her even though she walked away empty handed at this year’s ceremony.

She’s just been casted in the mega-hyped movie musical Hairspray. Other cast members include John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Christopher Walken, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Marsden, and Zac Efron.

Remember that Eli Roth movie Hostel that was made for 4.5 million dollars, and made nearly 50 million at the box office? Yeah, you guessed it–there’s a sequel.

Except this one follows three young women who “while studying abroad for the summer, learn the grim truth behind the Slovakian hostel”.

So yesterday we supplied you with a juicy sneak peek into this season’s Nip/Tuck romp between Julian McMahon and Mario Lopez in the shower–today more stills have surfaced from this season–and again they involve our beloved Dr. Christian Troy in another homoerotic situation.

Any of you watch Young and the Restless? Thad Luckinbill, or as the Y&R viewers know him, JT, is on the show this season, and he seems to have some interesting scenes with Christian.

More pics here.

Mario Lopez and Julian McMahon Get Dirrty On Nip/Tuck

Posted under Gay, Nip/Tuck, Television by Chris Evans on Monday 28 August 2006 at 7:00 pm

So it’s been pretty reported that Mario Lopez is guest starring on Nip/Tuck this year, and that he will have some kind of homoerotic encounter with Julian McMahon’s character, Dr. Christian Troy.
But now, we actually have caps from that encounter, and they are fucking SMOKING.

Uhmmm…September 5? I’m there.

Sept. 5: Nip/Tuck Gets Rosie and So Does The View

Posted under Celebrities, Nip/Tuck, Rosie O'Donnell, Television, The View by Chris Evans on Thursday 24 August 2006 at 4:18 pm

So September 5 marks the day that the fourth season of the F/X hit Nip/Tuck premieres at 10 PM. It also marks the day the new season of The View starts up with its new co-host Rosie O’Donnell. What some of you might not know though, is that Rosie herself will be making a guest appearance on Nip/Tuck this season as well. Not on the same day she starts on The View, but still interesting nonetheless.

I still haven’t finished getting through season three of Nip/Tuck but what I’ve seen so far is as awesome as always. Can’t wait to get through the rest of it so I can be ready for season four. Even though I’m STILL bitter they’re releasing the season 3 DVD so close to the premiere. It’s basically FORCING you to buy the damned thing.

Anyway, I’m eagerly awaiting the beginning of both new seasons. Rosie, please kill the Hasselbitch.

I’ve got more promotional stills here. In the meantime, while we’re all waiting for season four, check out some of the awesome promos:
