Bree’s Sister Comes To Desperate Housewives

Dana Delany, Emmy winning actress best known for her work on China Beach, is finally coming to Wisteria Lane after turning down the role of Bree Van De Kamp three times. Thank God she did because that would’ve meant I would have never experienced the brilliance that is Marcia Cross.

TV Guide is reporting that the actress is in talks to become a series regular as Bree’s estranged sister Katherine. According to the casting breakdown, Katherine is a “conservative Republican with an all-American wholesomeness and a mastery of passive aggressiveness.”

Katherine is said to be a former neighbor who is coming home after an absence of more than a decade with a younger man for a husband (described as “the best-looking gynecologist in town”) and a 17-year-old, troublemaking daughter.
