Television Tidbits: Diddy’s Raisin, Emmys, Housewives Ratings

P. Diddy–P. Daddy, wait, Diddy–shit–I have no clue what he’s calling himself these days. Either way, he’s bringing the Tony award winning cast of the Broadway show “A Raisin In The Sun” to the silver screen. Honestly, it’s embarassing that he has any involvement with such a legendary play, but hey–I guess if it means more people’ll see the classic Lorraine Hansberry masterpiece–what the hell.

It was announced earlier this week that the hilarious late-night host Conan O’Brien will again be hosting the Emmy Awards on his home network NBC. It should be a fun evening–one question though. Why hasn’t Conan taken over the Tonight Show yet? I’m tired of the chin. Seriously.

After months of lagging behind Grey’s Anatomy in the ratings (largely due to a Superbowl boost), Desperate Housewives has finally gained back its Sunday night crown. Of course, it comes right when its announced that Grey’s is moving to Thursday nights. No word yet on what will be given the coveted post-Housewives slot.
