Justin Timberlake Album Cover Unveiled, Alan Ball’s Next Project, and Messing Returns To TV

Pop star Justin Timberlake has just unveiled the album cover artwork for his anticipated sophomore record FutureSex/LoveSounds. His new single SexyBack has been the most requested song at radio in New York and Los Angeles for 4 weeks straight, and it looks like it’s bound to knock Nelly Furtado’s Promiscuous out of the number one spot fairly soon.

Screenwriting God and Academy Award winner Alan Ball, bes known for writing American Beauty and Six Feet Under, has drafted Aaron Eckhart (Thank You For Smoking), Toni Collette (In Her Shoes), and Maria Bello (A History of Violence) to star in his upcoming flick Towelhead. Coming Soon.net reports:
Ball is using as inspiration the Alicia Erian novel “Towelhead,” which he optioned in galley form in 2004 with his own cash. Ball wrote the script while presiding over his HBO series “Six Feet Under,” of which he helmed six episodes.
The film tells the story of Jasira, who struggles with identity and sexual issues as the daughter of a Lebanese-American father and an American mother in Texas during the Gulf War.

Will & Grace star and Emmy winner Debra Messing is starring in a new USA mini-series called The Starter Wife. The mini-series is based on the best-selling novel by Gigi Levangie Grazer.
USA’s head of original programming says this about the six-part mini-series:
“The Starter Wife” follows a woman’s quest to recalibrate her life after her movie-mogul husband divorces her. [The series] tackles the most delicious and dastardly details of a divorce and recovery, Hollywood style, while at the same time being relatable to everyday women.”
Filming starts this fall in Australia.
